Couple flee as fire wrecks home

A COUPLE were forced to flee an Inverness-shire holiday home yesterday as it was destroyed by fire.

The Lancashire couple, believed to be in their late 20s, had been staying at their grandparents’ holiday home, Kerrow Burn Lodge, around two miles south of Cannich.

They escaped from the burning house shortly before 5am and called the fire brigade.

When fire appliances from Cannich and Beauly arrived the house was already well ablaze.
